Did Miami Like Diddy 🛥️☀️

viva miami!! miami is literally always a good time, but my last trip there was definitely one for the books. when me and my bestie used to run down to miami in college, we usually stayed at some low budget hotel somewhere (because we’re barely going to be there, right? lol), ate the bare minimum for survival and spent 90% of our time partying. we’ve come a long way! miami has some amazing restaurants that still have an upbeat party vibe which provided an elevated experience – from the music, to the decor, i loved soaking up every min. y’all know i’m all about good food and good ambiance! check out some highlights and a recap of my trip below – city girls would be so proud lol.

The Faena – for the duration of my stay, i was at the Faena hotel located right on miami beach. it’s the kind of place where the décor is so unique you’d instantly know it was the Faena if you saw a random picture. the furniture is bright red lol but somehow they managed to make it elegant with teal and white accompaniments. it’s a modern spin on tropical and the place def succeeded in feeling like a resort. on the way to the pool, you’ll travel through beautifully decorated halls, passing by a tropical pool-side bar and a giant gold elephant statue (like i said, you’d instantly know). our first night, we had dinner at the hotel at Los Fuegos by Argentine grill master Francis Mallmann. i hadn’t heard of him either, but i quickly understood how he got that title. we ordered, well, basically everything lol. check the reel below for our full platter but we had lamb chops, prawns, and rib eye just to name a few. everything was delicious minus the blood sausage which nearly killed me – do NOT recommend. what wasn’t featured in the clip below was the spa. left my phone in my locker, but i absolutely had to mention it because my massage was amazing!

Kiki On the River – one of the (many) unique things about Kiki on the River is that because they’re on the water, they have a mini dock where you can quickly tie up your boat to hop out for your reservation. we pulled up to kiki on a yacht which was honestly a major flex. just make sure you bring a change of clothes so you can freshen up on the boat before heading in – kiki has a strict dress code so no swim suits or flip flops allowed. once we got inside, i obviously died because it says kiki everywhere! i literally had to stop myself from stealing the plates and took an obnoxious amount of pictures of every sign in the restaurant. even if your name isn’t kiki, you’re going to love the vibe in there. it gives secret garden on the river. and the food! omg i had the most amazing king crab legs of my life – and trust me i’ve had a lot. the shrimp cocktail was huge (the bigger the better right?), and the lobster was perfectly cooked. the baklava was a thing of beauty as well. i love greek food, so i’m planning to conquer the entire menu at some point!

Sexy Fish – ok can we talk about the décor in this place?! it was giving barbie meets the little mermaid 5 star girl edition and i absolutely loved it. from the ground up, Sexy Fish made sure every detail was perfectly tailored to the aesthetic. everywhere you looked was pleasing to the eye. i made sure to visit the iconic pink ladies room, and even ran into the men’s look for a quick peek, and it was truly like no other place i’ve ever been. they’ve done a great job standing out among their peers with this one of kind design. the food was just as gorgeous as the rest of the restaurant. we got one of their towers – they offer a ton of different options so you can choose what suits you and your crew the best. we chose the alaskan king crab, oysters and some sashimi. it was decent but honestly didn’t taste as good as it looks. the dessert however, which was key lime pie with ice cream, was delicious so i def want to give the food another try. regardless, i’ll definitely be going back because it was a vibe! i choose ambiance over food, but that’s just me. plus there’s a live dj at all times!

watching this makes me wish i was back in miami! did it make you wanna go too?
