back in february, i took my first out of the country trip of 2023 and went to dubai! i was so excited after all of the amazing trips we’ve all seen our fav influencers on. i couldn’t wait to check out all the tourist traps for myself. i didn’t get to do everything i wanted to do so def stayed tuned for a dubai part two with way more deets, but check out some highlights and a cute snapshot of my trip below!
here are my top 3 favs from my trip to dubai.
The Dubai EDITION – now every EDITION hotel i have been to has been super chic and sexy, but i have to say the one in dubai is currently the front runner for me. every aspect of the hotel oozes tranquil luxury. as soon as you walk in you’re greeted by an amazing aroma that instantly relaxes you and welcomes you home. the pool has an amazing view of the burj khalifa aka the tallest building in the world. the staff is super friend and attentive while still giving you enough space to relax and enjoy the view which i appreciated. and the rooooom. omg i wanted to move in permanently! i felt like i had my own personal spa room for the week. the décor is literally my aesthetic – super classy minimalist design while still having detailed pieces that showed how upscale the space really was. the bathroom had an enormous bathtub where i lounged and enjoyed the skyline view from the floor to ceiling windows. i had to do a special reel just for the hotel alone because it’s that amazing. check it out below!
The SLS Downtown Dubai – the SLS rooftop was one of my favorites in dubai. featuring an infinity pool with a sweeping view of downtown dubai, i was immediately taken by the vibe and aesthetic – you know i love a good look! the food there was transparantly kinda blah, but that’s not what you go there for. the drinks are strong, the hookahs were hitting and the music was great. they played a lot of american music so it’s a good mix if you want to be reminded of home. the SLS rooftop strikes a great balance of being high end while still being turnt which is honestly hard to achieve so definitely recommend.
The Dubai Marina – you haveeee to get to the marina at some point if you’re ever in dubai. i would recommend going around sunset. the cotton candy sky just added even more to the stunning beauty of the beach. there’s a boardwalk that has a ton of places to shop including tons of perfume shops which, I didn’t know, is something dubai is known for. there’s also a section that has carnival games if you’re looking to have a fun nostalgic night. there’s also a ton of great restaurants but fair warning – dubai marina is dry meaning none of them serve alcohol. still worth checking out! and of course definitely be sure to get on a boat if you’re able to. i love the modern buildings against the ocean – feels like you’re in the future!
like i said, stay turned for a part two – so much left to see!
